Our church just finished our annual 21 day fast; of course our bodies rejoice because now we can eat our dainty delights. But our spirit is also praising God for the spiritual breakthroughs we received by humbling our flesh. Now is the time to anticipate the blessings of God from the fast. Isaiah 58:8,9a says (after you fast) “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and they righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.” If you fasted or not you can still call upon God who will answer your prayers, anticipate your blessings this week.
